How to get the best value from social media

An explanation of how to repurpose video for social media shorts with a little re-editing, new stock shots and a new voice over

We were looking forward to shooting social media clips for Gabucci this month, covering weddings as well as shirts, especially those suited to festivals, food and music and more on the clothes from Italy and Scotland.

Unfortunately the rain has caused a few problems as everything has had to be put back a season as the huge shop window in Bath had a leak.

It is now fixed but we’ve decided to move the new shoot till later in the year and concentrate on repurposing existing footage for the social media clips.

The first two are produced, both for Instagram reels and YouTube shorts and have been put together based on older footage combined with stock footage and revised and re-edited voice overs.

It makes a lot of sense to reuse footage and repurpose, it keeps the message fresh and makes the budget go  much further.

The example here is taken from a wedding video produced three years ago, the second one covers cloths produced in Scotland and Italy for Gabucci, from last Autumn but by using different stock footage, it gets a whole new life.
